UK Student Visa Journey: A quick guide

By now you must have given great thought to your study abroad journey. A big part of this journey is applying for a student visa for the UK. This can be a tiresome process if you don’t get the right guidance.

The UK visa application, though fairly simple, does require some documentation and it can be easy to mess things up if you are not careful.

To make life easier for students who want to fulfil their quest for academic excellence in the UK (Harry Potter style!), we have checklist :

1. A valid passport - Of course!

2. A CAS Letter -

If you have already started your UK admissions process you definitely have heard this term multiple times. However, do you know what it means? This is your Certificate of Acceptance of Studies (pretty self explanatory right!)

3. Academic Documents -

Unfortunately Hogwarts is not real , and a UK visa cannot be granted on the basis of your parents' highly reputable magical pasts….. The visa officer has to check if YOU will be able to cope up with the academic excellence the British education system demands from it’s students

4. Evidence of Funds -

Even Harry’s parents had to leave him money to get through student life after Platform … You too will need to show you can pay your full tuition fees as well as live a comfortable life in the UK (this would mean £12006 in London and £9207 outside London as your living expense)

5. TB Test Certificate -

Any visa which allows you to stay in the UK for more than 6 months will demand you possess a TB test certificate from the list of approved test centres.

Some extra advice , cause it's FREE - if you are going for a summer study abroad program , you actually might not need a TB test certificate!

Just like Hagrid was for Harry , AcadQuest can be your friend and guide (or if you prefer , your study abroad consultant) in your academic journey!
